Hi! My name is Viacheslav. I am 37 years old, I hail from Ukraine, and I am a professional English-Russian translator and editor.

I am capable of delivering premium-quality Russian-English, Ukrainian-English, and English-Russian translations, as well as working efficiently as an editor or technical writer. My overall English-related working experience is in excess of 12 years, spent in banking, publishing, and the software industry. My mother tongue is Russian. I am university-educated in both English and Russian and have a perfect command of the above languages in written work and an excellent writing style.

During my career, I’ve had the benefit of working in varying capacities (Russian Translator, Interpreter, Editor-in-Chief, Business Writer, Technical Writer, Business Development Manager, others) for a number of well-known multinationals and banking institutions, including Scorto, MaxBill, Validio, FLC Book Club, Golden Gate Bank, Factorial Bank, Promin Bank, and others, my duties ranging from translation, editing and writing assignments to supervising the work of several dozen other translators and editors.

While acting as Editor-in-Chief for a great many titles from most genres published by FLC Book Club (including the first Russian edition of Wilbur Smith’s “Hungry as the Sea”, “Wild Justice” and “The Burning Man” by Philip Margolin, “Sons of the Morning” by Jack Curtis, “The Judging Time” by Leslie Glass, “Pride and Predator” by Sally Right, and many others), I had also personally copy-edited a number of both fiction and non-fiction titles translated from English into Russian (Keith Tutt Unexplained Natural Phenomena, Bernard Knight The Sanctuary Seeker, Tim Cockey Hearse of a Different Color, J.A. Jance Tombstone Courage, Jenny Randles Time Storms, Ridley Pearson Parallel Lies, and others).

As a ghost writer, I have appeared in a dozen overseas English-speaking magazines. Some of the other projects I’ve taken part in include writing and Russian-English translation projects for one of Russia’s leading web development companies Montini Technologies, Russian-into-English translation assignments for Hold Translations, Miami, FL, an English writing and editing project for a world-famous financial software vendor.

I have a great deal of experience in translating, authoring, and editing all kinds of marketing and PR materials, including corporate brochures, articles, press-releases, web pages,and white papers in both Russian and English. As far as Technical Writing is concerned, I have worked on case studies, company technical profiles, functionality overviews, functional specifications, user, installation, implementation and diagnostics manuals, client proposals.

Currently, I work full-time as a marcom & technical writer at a software development company.
